There are many things Rob Reiner does to make this film so engaging. Even though I’ve seen many “love stories” before there is something refreshing about this 1989 movie about Harry and Sally. It follows the current formula that we are all familiar with but has actual comedic surprises without compromising on your intelligence. I’m not a fan of Billy Crystal but Meg Ryan is so charming that it doesn’t matter. So forget the next RomCom that hollywood spits out and watch a classic for the first time. Or like some people I know for the tenth time.
