Engaging in a movie like this requires you to jump through various hoops. The first one is that you’re to have an understanding on how stock exchanges work. Secondly, you have to keep up with Gordon Gekko. Thirdly, you have to answer the pestering question “Is insider trading really that bad?”. These three tasks could have detoured me but I persisted. There is very little payoff at the end of it. Sure, there are some good lines delivered by Martin Sheen but nothing great. On the grand scheme of things there is something lost today when I consider someone as sinister as Bernie Madoff. Compared to him Gordon Gekko is a saint.
