It’s films like this that leave you with an unsettling feeling of what revenge can taste like. There is nothing pretty or noble about the revenge enacted against the abusers of this story. Yet, there is no other satisfying alternative that would even begin to payback the harm they’ve caused. As a viewer of this film I felt conflicted by the measures the boys were taking to get their justice. I see their cause but I don’t understand their MO. I’m not sure how victims of child abuse would feel by watching this film. Is it empowering? Is it therapeutic? Is it offensive?
