It was a fun watch simply because it served as an escape from reality. The visual enhancements added a unique texture to an average script. There is no limit how you can condense and sensationalize something by utilizing quick cuts and montages. The only person that seemed out of place was Robert DeNiro. It almost felt like he was half trying to appear powerful and in control. In many ways, the entire film had a “not trying” sheen to it. At one point Cooper narrates how he didn’t know what he had done in the last 4 days. Wait? Is this the Hangover?
