I wished I would have seen this film when it first came out because I may have liked it. However, the characters themselves are timeless. Steve Buscemi is outstanding as the pathetic but charming loser. Thora Birch is the poster child of the optimistically bruised idealist. When you watch invidual scenes independantly you get a feel of how good this movie is. Unfortunately as a whole it lacked something for me.
