Whatever Works

Being a long time fan of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” it was difficult to distinguish the persona Larry David plays on the show and that of Boris Yellnikoff. Both are cranky, intellectually delusional individuals who pontificate their own wisdom and reality. There is something about the way Woody Allen writes that just doesn’t make you care about any of the characters. In many ways it feels like a play where you feel comforted that you’re sitting and spending time with talented actors but at no time are you swept away by the story. You enjoy the experience but are ready to move on once it ends. I guess you go with whatever works.
