Junebug

I once read someone describe how some movies evoke a certain sense of importance for mundane things.  It’s like the director is able to make you care for something you wouldn’t otherwise notice in your every day existence. I found this thought to be true about Junebug. I refrained from watching this movie when it came out because an actor from lame tv show The O.C. was in it. Who’s the shallow one?  What I didn’t know was how I would be drawn into a story that revealed the complicated intricacy of family dynamics. It isn’t so much explored as it is left suspended in thick air.  The questions that arise from each situation are not answered. Instead, you are left to filter an answer through your own bias, understanding and interpretation.
