I went to bed right after I watched this film and was haunted by the plight of Wikus van de Merwe. His character arc is brilliant! I can’t admit that I liked this film simply because of the nightmare I had that night. While at the same time I can’t say I disliked it because all the elements of the film were captivating. Maybe an apt way of describing my feelings about this film is like eating a meal at Arby’s. I know it’s supposed to be good but I’m not sure I can always eat it.
