I’ll admit that I’m a sucker for Woody’s self-deprecating humour but this movie is by far my favourite of his. Okay, so maybe I’ve only seen 3 of his 2 dozen films that he’s acted/written/directed, but like Joy Behar “Who cares?!” The pleasant conversational approach of this film begged me to ask “how self-indulgent is Woody Allen?” If Paul Simon isn’t enough of an answer he also has freakin’ Marshall “Medium is the Message” McLuhan make a surprising and hilarious cameo! I loved this scene so much that I knew I was going to love the rest of the movie even if I would have to watch it with subtitles so I could better understand the spoken hilarity!
